6th Anniversary of U.S. Invasion and Occupation of Iraq

There may be a new kid on the block but that doesn’t change the fact that there is still an illegal U.S. occupation in Iraq.
March 20 marks the 6th anniversary of the illegal U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq - the occupation which still continues. President Obama’s “campaign promise” of “ending the Iraq War” consists of withdrawing 2/3 of U.S. troops by 2010 and keeping the other 1/3 there (to protect U.S. “interests” of course!). Not only that, Obama plans to send an 8additional8 17,000 troops to Afghanistan.
Meanwhile human services for critical needs go under-funded (or unfunded) in the U.S. while our leaders spend this much money on both Iraq and Afghanistan:

Please bring signs, music, energy. Some signs provided. We’d like to see all four corners of that intersection filled with people demanding an end to war and occupation and the expenditure of U.S. dollars on these and other unecessary conflicts and to start focusing on spending money for needs in the U.S.
